The Heritage Centre and Icehouse are open from 2pm to 5pm
daily in June, July and August. During May and September, we
are open on Saturdays and Sundays only.

In the Centre you will find:-
Earliest residents and a bronze age, clay
burial urn.
The lost port of Findhorn - rediscovered in
2002 - 300 years after it was washed away.
Findhorn - the seaport for Forres with ships
trading with Baltic and continental ports.
The unique Findhorn class yacht - developed
and raced at Findhorn last century.
Natural history - birds, flowers,, dolphins
and seals.
Albums of historic photographs and texts on
village history, way of life and local worthies.
In the Icehouse you will find:-
150 year old underground arched chambers
which were used to store the ice which
chilled the salmon en route to London.
These chambers are now used to display all
aspects of the net salmon fishing industry
including:-
History of ice houses - domestic and industrial
Life cycle of the Atlantic salmon
A fisherman’s life in the bothies
Salmon net fishing along the Moray coast
